Default A good AOE elite for water magic?

Water is the only elemental type that does not have one AOE elite, its main problem is also low damage compare to others, will that be good to add one?

I only ever run water if I'm going into an area with lots of fire magic, and then I run Ward Against Harm. Apart from that I don't think the elites are very good for PvE. Always take maelstrom though

I usually prepare water for my heroes since their main build is fire, most of the mobs with high fire resistance are weak against waterm, like the titans.

I don't ever remember going water. I am always using air. I feel that it has all the advantages and less of the weaknesses of the other three but then I could be wrong. But Air does well for me for every type of foe so far.

Horrible skill. But you can hit one more foe with that elite you just used :P

1. What build are you running and which elite are you using?
2. Water is more of a support line, so you have to approach it a bit differently.

You're not going to get a whole lot of aoe damage out of water, you would be better off going fire or invoke/chain lightning and bringing winter. Barring that I would go ele attunement for elite and spam deep freeze/ice spikes/maelstrom.

Ward Against Harm is good if you have ranged attackers or casters that will stay in the ward.

Mirror of Ice for a damage boost, though it's single target. It's not as effective as I thought it was. :-\

Other than these, Water can get good use out of the Energy Storage elites because of the high cost of some of the most useful water skills. Glyph of Energy works great with Maelstrom and Deep Freeze, also consider Glyph of Renewal to throw Maelstrom a lot more often. Elemental Attunement can help a lot, and Echo and Assassin's Promise can help too. You might consider Gust (from Air Magic) for some knockdown since your foes will almost always be hexed with water magic.
